There are many orchids and different flora to see, just walk up from our gardens. The views of the valleys, mountains and the sea are amazing.

Drive to the nearby Natural park of Sierras Tejeda,Almijara and Alhama.

Home to various rare or native species of flora and fauna - the peak of Maroma is 2,068 metres. Well worth packing your walking boots for. There are low and high levels of difficulty marked walking routes.
We are near to the Karma Guen, a Buddist Stupa with stunning views.
La Calera
This Old Spanish farm hamlet has been restored and converted for comfortable living.
The house Casa Algarrobo and the pretty rustic Gorrion cottage are to let, with the use of a tremendous pool. Barbecue and terrace areas for dining or relaxing.

Relax on a lounger by the beautiful tiled pool, sit in the sun or in the shade of the ancient carob trees. Enjoy the scents and colours of the gardens or choose a leisurely swim.

Come here at any time of the year - even with snow on the peaks of Maroma the temperature rarely gets too low for comfort.

Surrounding the gardens are a myriad of tracks that always have endless natural delights, the scents of the lavender, thyme and sage , the fascinating bird life that changes with the seasons – and after a day out you can return to “ La Calera” with its warmth and comfort.
