Casa Latxaberria in the hamlet of Azpilikueta - Return to Listing
Our walking holidays take place at Casa Latxaberria, a beautifully restored farmhouse nestled in the tiny rural hamlet of Azpilkueta, which lies on one of the many pilgrim routes of the famous ´Camino de Santiago'. We are half-an-hour south of the French border (hence a history of smuggling) and less than an hour north of Pamplona. Casa Latxaberria has 7 double bedrooms, a lounge with a log fire and a veranda with breathtaking views of the Baztan valley from where we can observe the comings and goings of the local farmers and Basque rural life. We breakfast to the sound of the mountain stream running through our garden (and the donkeys in the field next door!). The house has all mod cons - a washing machine for you all to use - but, if you need them, please bring European adaptor plugs as I'm running out!
