River Ebro Apartments are situated in Mora d'Ebre at the foot of its medieval castle and looking out over the magnificent River Ebro. In the 16th century this small Catalan town had a church, a mosque and a synagogue and the 3 cultures - Christian, Moorish and Jewish lived together peacefully. Every year during the 2nd weekend of July, Mora d'Ebre celebrates its multicultural heritage with the MORA MORISCA festival - this year it will be on the 11th and 12th. For these 2 days the town is swathed in banners and music bands and drummers parade the streets.The villagers dress up in period costume, the medieval market has tempting stalls of sweet pastries, flatbread, cheese, medicinal herbs, ceramics, leather goods, perfumed oils.... There are falconry displays, belly-dancing shows, acrobatics, fire-eating and exhibitions of all kinds of artisan crafts. It's a great atmosphere! Want to be here and enjoy the fun?
